Death Valley National Park belongs to the Basin and Range Province in east central California. The National Park was subjected to many structural folding and faulting events from the Precambrian through Cenozoic Erathems. Stratigraphic sequences range from Cambrian through Recent Periods displayed in the many canyons throughout the park.
